In seinen frühen Jahren wurde er als «neuer Horowitz» gefeiert. Damit gemeint war vor allem seine stupende Technik. Doch Arcadi Volodos hat sich längst von diesem Etikette befreit. Das «Singen am Klavier» ist für ihn viel bedeutsamer und macht sein jedes Konzert erinnerungswürdig.
