Massimo Rocchi's secret of success seems simple, yet impossible for imitators to copy: his comedy is the art of toothpick-like gestures, the art of asserting places, spaces, memories and sensations through imagination. His comedy draws on his biography, the artist's wanderings as a young man through the EU area until he finally ended up stranded in Switzerland, Bern. His art does not represent a nation or a generation, but a sense of belonging beyond geographic boundaries.
