The 2024 monastery festival offers attractions for the whole family around the theme of “water”. Festival pubs invite you to spend sociable hours on the monastery peninsula of Wettingen. It smells of grilled food and pasta. Games and crafts are on the program for children, and in the monastery gardening we sow and pot together. The monastery festival also offers insights into monastic life back then. Monks and maids invite you to take a tour of the monastery several times a day. Both young and old make bath salts. The monastery festival is also a musical delight: brass music plays in the park. Festival program - Sowing and pricking: Sowing plants and potting flowers with the monastery gardening - Fishing game with the Chlostergarte daycare center - Obstacle course with carrying water - Making small boats - Monastery medicine and herb garden - Making bath salts - Discovering the world's oceans and painting watercolor monsters - What does water taste like (14 -3 p.m.) Guided tours - With a monk or maid through the monastery - water in everyday monastery life (also suitable for families).
