I believe that contemporary artistic creation has a fundamental responsibility: to expand and transform our perception of the world around us. Music has a unique ability to influence how we perceive reality, as sound stimuli can profoundly enrich our sensory experience. However, this potential does not rest only in the qualities of sound itself, but rather in the interaction of those sounds with time, space, and the bodies of both performers and audiences. For this reason, I believe that music is not something we merely hear, but something we experience. This perspective has shaped my work as a composer, where I aim to create immersive situations that explore how sound interacts with space, bodies, images, and language, shaping perception through the interaction of different sensory layers. Drifting Stages represents an important step in this direction, bringing voice, text, image, sound, and staging into a shared performative environment.
