A sound journey into the heights
"In Domodossola I could play everything with my drumsticks, the street lamps, the power boxes, the traffic signs," says Julian Sartorius, who climbs the summit of the Weissmies (4017 m above sea level) in the Valais from the Italian town of Domodossola (272 m above sea level) on his new "Hidden Tracks" album. The sounds change the higher Sartorius climbs: not only do the sounds of the city and the villages disappear, nature also changes and becomes more and more barren. This solo project takes us on this (sound) journey to the heights - don't forget your provisions and good shoes!
