Jazz­chor Frei­burg - Sacred

The Freiburg Jazz Choir sings about faith, doubt and heavenly fulfillment in its program “Sacred”. Just with their voices and percussion, the singers create images of a lively Garden of Eden or a struggling monk on his way to God. The latter is a very uncomplicated guy who - like Joan Osborne - might sit right next to you on the bus, but - like George Harrison - you sometimes have to look for him for a long time. The Song of Love composed for the jazz choir also gives expression to the most important principle, which is even greater than faith and hope. The Freiburg Jazz Choir, founded in 1990 by Bertrand Gröger, has always been committed to choral pioneering work. With an unusual selection of programs, arrangements from their own ranks and commissioned compositions, the award-winning choir achieved international reputation.
