Discover a musical evening where emotion and virtuosity come together
The Orchester de la Suisse Romande will take over the Victoria Hall in Geneva on Thursday May 16, 2024 for its evening “La Symphonie du Fatum”.
The concert highlights Reflections, a piano concerto by Michael Jarrell, composer in residence, dedicated to the memory of Eric Daubresse. Commissioned by the OSR and the Radio France Philharmonic, this work will be brilliantly performed by pianist Bertrand Chamayou, embodying the musical intelligence and virtuosity that inspired the Genevan composer. The work is distinguished by its deep expressiveness and purity.
Then, Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4, nicknamed the "Symphony of Fatum," expresses in a dramatic and autobiographical way the vagaries of human destiny. The evening will begin with Erik Satie's Deux Gymnopédies, subtly orchestrated by Claude Debussy, offering a musical experience tinged with mystery and sensuality.
An evening rich in emotions and musical interpretations to discover.
