Die amerikanisch-schweizerische Jazzsängerin Lilly Thornton durfte schon Anfang der 1990er Jahre mit Jazzgrössen wie Benny Golson, Arthur Blythe, Jimmy Woode u.v.a. auf der Bühne singen - Erfahrungen, die bis heute ihr Wirken prägen. Aufgewachsen mit Jazz und Soul, ist sie heute in diversen Projekten und Stilrichtungen tätig. Für ihr Quartett arrangiert sie ein abwechslungsreiches Programm mit Kompositionen von Abbey Lincoln bis Stevie Wonder - groovig, swingend, bluesig, oder auch balladesk.
