Am 14. März 2026 findet im Fabriktheater der Roten Fabrik in Zürich die dritte Ausgabe des B Free Experimental Battle statt. Am B Free Battle sind die unterschiedlichsten Tanzstile anzutreffen. Im Vordergrund steht die Experimentierfreudigkeit und die Interaktion zwischen Tanz und Live-Musik. Dieses Battle überrascht mit einer unerwartet-magischen Atmosphäre, die sich von anderen Battles komplett abhebt. Der Begriff Battle erhält in diesem Fall eine subtilere Bedeutung, da die Teilnehmer*innen in erster Linie daran interessiert sind, diesen Moment zu erleben und nicht nur leistungsorientiert in dieses Erlebnis eintauchen. Das Element Live Musik trägt vor allem zu dieser Atmosphäre bei und ist in der Battle-Szene einzigartig. Sei dabei!

Information für Teilnehmende:

Bewerbung: Sende ein 2-minütiges Freestyle-Video (2 Minuten pro Tänzer:in) an bfree@breakthrough-festival.ch. Die Deadline für die Video-Pre-Elimination ist der 26. Februar 2026. Solo-Bewerbungen sind willkommen – wir stellen euch dann eine:n anderen Solo-Bewerber:in als Partner:in zur Seite. Insgesamt werden 48 Tänzer:innen (24 Teams) über den Video-Prozess ausgewählt. Falls du nicht ausgewählt wirst, hast du trotzdem die Chance, dich über den Cypher Qualifier beim Event zu qualifizieren. Dort sichern sich 8 Tänzer*innen bzw. 4 Teams einen Platz im Haupt-Battle.

!Special: Ab den Top 8 werden die Partner:innen für jede Runde neu ausgelost.

On March 14, 2026, the third edition of the B Free Experimental Battle will take place at the Fabriktheater of the Rote Fabrik in Zurich.

At the B Free Battle, you will encounter a wide variety of dance styles. The focus is on experimentation and the interaction between dance and live music. This battle surprises with an unexpectedly magical atmosphere, which sets it completely apart from other battles. The term “battle” takes on a subtler meaning here, as participants are primarily interested in experiencing the moment rather than diving into it solely with a competitive mindset. The element of live music contributes significantly to this atmosphere and is unique in the battle scene. Be part of it!

Program March 14, 2026:Cypher Qualifiers at 3:00 PM

Battle Start: 4:30 PM

Audience Entry: CHF 15.– | Reduced CHF 10.– (Cash or Twint)

Information for Participants:

Application: Send a 2-minute freestyle video (2 minutes per dancer) to bfree@breakthrough-festival.ch. The deadline for the video pre-elimination is February 26, 2026. Solo applications are welcome – we will then pair you with another solo applicant. A total of 48 dancers (24 teams) will be selected through the video process. If you are not selected, you still have the chance to qualify via the Cypher Qualifier at the event, where 8 dancers (4 teams) secure a spot in the main battle.

!Special: From the Top 8 onwards, partners will be randomly reassigned for each round.
