WWF cour­se - Wol­ves in the can­ton of St. Gal­len

The wolf fascinates and sometimes heats up people's emotions. You roam the wolves' territory around St.Margrethenberg and learn exciting things about their way of life. High above Bad Ragaz lies St.Margrethenberg in a remote side valley. If you look through the valley, the steep flanks of the Calandas already greet you - wolves still live here today. You roam part of the area together with a gamekeeper and find out what it means to live with wolves and what the animals contribute to a natural landscape. The gamekeeper provides information about the wolves' lifestyle and characteristics, their hunting strategies and their sense of family. He shows that a coexistence of humans and predators is possible, but can also provide a lot of discussion. Thanks to his experience, the gamekeeper can draw on the full range and tell many a wolf story. However, direct observation of wolves on this hike is very unlikely.
