SRF two: SRF bi de Lüt – Men’s Kit­chen

The host of the second episode is Andreas Roos from Siebnen SZ. The 49-year-old lives there with his wife and daughter, three rabbits and two guinea pigs in a house in a rural area. Andy is self-taught. He taught himself a lot of things, including cooking. When he left home at the age of 20, his mother gave him a cookbook. Now it's Andy's turn to cook.

The menu for his fellow competitors is inspired by his second passion: cross-country skiing. In winter, the amateur chef can often be found on the cross-country ski trails in his area, but he prefers it even more at the Vasaloppet in Sweden, the largest cross-country skiing competition in the world. The idea for his main course also comes from Sweden. His latest passion and challenge, however, is dessert.

Andy has his own company. Storms are the disaster manager's daily bread. He has further developed hoses that prevent flooding and are used worldwide. But he is a farmer at heart. For his 40th birthday, he bought himself a cow and later an alphorn. "Others overcome their midlife crisis with a Harley Davidson," he says and laughs. His daughter Yara registered him for the cooking competition, but he then withdrew. But now he is ambitious: he definitely wants to cook the perfect meal.
