Women from the painting group in the Solihaus spent over half a year creatively dealing with the topic of ARRIVAL. The common experience was that everyone once arrived here in Switzerland.

The exhibition is organized by the Solidarity House St.Gallen association.

To start off, we visited the Tschabalala Self exhibition in the art museum. Women can be portrayed in a very unconventional way and yet you still understand them! Each woman selected a picture as a template for drawing and then exchanged ideas. For the first time, the women then drew and painted a person with the woman from their home country. In a group picture, each woman designed the route to Switzerland, writing in her own language "coming and arriving". Someone said about arriving: first you have to learn German, then work is important for life. Various depictions show part of their work here. In addition, 3 pictures of the route taken by 3 refugees can be seen: a path that leads to another country in order to arrive there; a path that is almost too difficult and a path where roots were put down after a long wait.
