Zurich-based musician and singer Anet Zemp is taking her Jane Soda project to a new dimension. After club and festival appearances as a duo with Claude Bühler (modular synth), she is now breaking new ground:
She has rearranged the songs from her latest album slowly especially for a choir ensemble – with the aim of capturing the typical Jane Soda sound using only voices and analog instruments.
Jane Soda stands for avant-pop, interwoven with atmospheric loops that glide into cinematic soundscapes.
Here in Zurich, singers from the two pop choirs that Anet Zemp conducts on two evenings a week will be on stage. This is the first time that both choirs will sing together in the same project. Cinematic soundscapes, lo-fi piano, and analog beats merge with polyphonic choral singing – the concert becomes a unique reinterpretation of the songs.
Line up:
Anet Zemp - vocals, piano
Nicolas Stocker - beats
Flo Goette - double bass
Choir from Zurich - backing vocals, refrains
