Licht im Winter kombiniert neue, für chant 1450 geschriebene Stücke von Mirjam Skal mit Musik des 16. Jahrhunderts von Lasso, de Rore und anderen. Live-Elektronik trifft auf Alte Musik, Komposition auf Improvisation.
Die Kontraste des Winters - harter Frost und wohlige Wärme, Jahresende und Jahresanfang, Dunkelheit und gleissend helles Licht - spielen in der Musik des Programms eine wichtige Rolle. Licht im Winter ist eine Konzertreihe mit sechs Konzerten in Frauenfeld, Solothurn, St. Gallen, Zürich, Oberwinterthur und Rapperswil-Jona.
